BNEBuilds makes browser tools that turn your measurements into build plans. We want them to work for anyone who wants to build something, whatever hardware or assistive technology they use. Our target is WCAG 2.1 level AA across the site.

What is in place

• Every page has a skip link, one main heading, and named landmarks, so a screen reader can move straight to the content.
• Every control has a label, including the sliders, type-in fields, checkboxes, and segmented buttons that the tools build in the browser. Icon-only buttons carry a spoken name.
• Everything works from the keyboard. Tabs follow the standard pattern, with arrow keys to move between them, and a visible focus ring on every element.
• Text and controls meet the AA contrast ratio, and pages zoom to 200% without losing content or function.
• Images have text alternatives. Purely decorative art is hidden from assistive technology.
• Animation respects your reduced-motion setting.
• Changes to a drawing are announced briefly, once, rather than re-reading the whole sheet on every adjustment.

Known limits

• The rotatable 3D view of an assembled build is a visual convenience. Everything it shows is also on the dimensioned drawing and cut-list tabs, and in the PDF, as text and labelled drawings.
• The drawings themselves are technical plans: measurements are given as text on the drawing and in the cut list, but the drawing's geometry is not described line by line.
• Paid PDFs are generated print documents and are not yet tagged for screen readers. The browser tool that made them carries the same plans and cut list as live text.

How we keep it that way

Every change to the site runs through an automated accessibility check before it can deploy, and we do a manual keyboard and screen-reader pass when a tool's interface changes. This page is updated when something meaningful changes.
